"Transforming the Shame in Suffering"

Do you even look at yourself or situations in life with a concept of being perfect, the perfection aura? And yet, when things are falling apart, and we are hurting, the “shame of suffering” creeps in to the point of overwhelming us, even debilitating our desires to continue in our lives. Questioning, what’s the point, or who really cares?

Almost everyday, they are 50+ reminders of where I’ve failed, where I tried my best, yet it wasn’t enough. Things falling apart beyond my control, with the waves of shame covering me. Thoughts of not being good enough, accepted, and worthy have clouded my mind; so hiding my suffering has often felt like the accepted option. Really, too ashamed to be me… raw, broken, and wide open.

Why do we feel individually, and as a whole ashamed of hurting? Being Vulnerable.

As if those feelings that each of us are going through or have gone through in some areas of our lives are not really valued or even important.

Imagine if we viewed suffering as a rainbow… a sign of hope and promise, after a storm and quite often during those moments when light is bordering darkness.

Imagine suffering becoming a bridge across, a place where we may surrender all those things that are pulling us down. The Shame, yet being transformed into rays and waves of forgiveness, compassion, acceptance, and love.

Often, we busy our lives vicariously living through so called “super-heroes” ~ actors, athletes, musicians, or the ones made up in our minds. What if you and I, like Spiderman, Iron Man, or Captain Marvel found our strength through our suffering and the trials we are facing? Embracing and showing up each day to become our own super-hero... why not? Being inspired by the positive characters we are reading about and watching in films.

What if it’s possible… rising up, even from our beds each day to begin conquering our fears and doubts through new associations? Practicing a new thought and action becomes a new belief and habit.

Habits are only habits because we practice them.Dolphingirl

What’s available to each of us is connectivity, because we are more than our circumstances… not in ego, yet in grace. The divinity in all of us says we are connected, we matter, and separation is a big fat lie.

Plus, our divine design found in biology, chemistry, genetics, and physics is showing us that you and I are made to change, alter, and modify, much like transforming the voltage of an electrical current. Us in-motion, 24/7.

What I like to call, our nature in Nature confirms our aquatic link to everything in life, our DNA super-hero power! We just have to show up each day, first to ourselves, and then every step we take is a light across. Connecting our hearts and minds to the bigger picture, the bigger love.

Does it remove our suffering? Not entirely, yet each day you and I have the choice in using this overwhelming energy as a source of renewal and strength.

As if it is… a Rainbow

“After the failure of humanity in the use and control of the other forces of the universe that have turned against us, it is urgent that we nourish ourselves with another kind of energy…

If we want our species to survive, if we are to find meaning in life, if we want to save the world and every sentient being that inhabits it, love is the one and only answer.

Perhaps we are not yet ready to make a bomb of love, a device powerful enough to entirely destroy the hate, selfishness and greed that devastate the planet.

However, each individual carries within them a small but powerful generator of love whose energy is waiting to be released.

When we learn to give and receive this universal energy, dear Lieserl, we will have affirmed that love conquers all, is able to transcend everything and anything, because love is the quintessence of life.”
